Launch that version of the game in Steam, ensure that all of your mods are enabled (there's no order to adjust and the Mod Manager is much uglier than in the Beta Launcher), but then you should be good to go.About Total War WARHAMMER Free Download v1.6.0 In essence, you're opting in to a beta branch that's actually running the old launcher (so while it's technically not a beta at all, it's treated as such under Steam's launch options since it's a different dev branch). I was able to resolve this by going to TW:WH2's properties in Steam > Betas > and select the option for the Launcher (I forget what it's called exactly, but it's a typical dev name for a version to launch with the old/stable launcher). There are some folks on the forums who say that older mods are no longer working with the Beta Launcher or will only work if the mod has been updated since (I'm not sure how true that is, but it seemed to be quite similar to the problem I was experiencing). Then I did some reading and found out that the new Beta Launcher for TW seems to have some issues with mods.
I tried moving the lvl 50 lord mod up and down in priority, still no effect. The only thing I had done was shift around the order of some of the mods that I was already using in the game. As SBFms mentioned, mods were already prioritized by their naming conventions by their authors' in prior launchers, but it seems like the new beta launcher may be screwing up that load priority (possibly since you can adjust their order via CA's mod manager in the beta launcher).įor example: I was using a lvl 50 lords mod which was working up until sometime last week when suddenly it stopped.
It was seemingly working, but is giving me issues now.
I don't mess with mods much in this game, but recently the new 'beta' launcher for TW:WH2 seems to be having issues launching mods that haven't been updated since the new beta launcher was released by CA.
